The Woman

Alicya Sinclair

Trained by Princess Diana’s tailor, (Professor Andrew Ramroop OBE,) Sinclair London was founded out of the notion that there was not enough variety for women to look and feel feminine in a suit.

Hailed as the next Giorgio Armani by former Burberry and Harvey Nichols CEO, Stacey Cartwright: Alicya Sinclair was the first to launch a women’s only tailoring house in October 2013 and remains the only female who is Savile Row trained amongst her competitors.

Alicya's career spans 18 years starting off in bridal wear aged 16 before moving into alterations and tailoring. Working for the likes of Ozwald Boateng, Harvey Nichols as a tailor, Chanel, Suzie Turner, Fitriani & Burberry before embarking on her own brand.

Iconic Designs

In 2017, Sinclair designed tailored trouser suits for retro girl group “The Tootsie Rollers” for Royal Ascot, annual performers to the former Queen in the Royal Enclosure. The following year for the first time ever, suits for women were deemed acceptable attire for women in the Royal Enclosure.

Whilst working at Fitriani Fashion her most pivotal piece was the bridal gown for the Princess of Qatar consisting of 450 lace petals with pearls and beading sourced directly from Swarovski.

While training on Savile Row, Sinclair had the opportunity to customise and tailor a corset for Destiny's Child member, Kelly Rowland and assisting her Professor with a fully hand crafted bespoke suit using cloths made for a piece for Samuel L Jackson.
