The WEPS Awards 2024

Championing gender equality, highlighting best business practices and building a sustainable future. These are just some of the qualities thats the WEPS Awards highlights by showcasing the highest achieving businesses in their respective categories.

The Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPS) is the Global Framework for Gender Equality in Business. Developed by UN Women and UN Global Compact in 2010, WEPS is the only private sector awards that recognises action for gender equality aligned to the Women’s Empowerment Principles. The WEPS are seven guiding principles providing a roadmap for a more equal, inclusive and sustainable future.

The Regional ceremony kicked off on the 3rd December 2024 and recognises private sector companies that implement the WEPS. The private sector plays a pivotal role in gender equality which in turn helps to the success of a businesses bottom line.

The WEPs Awards is organised under the new UN Women programme Gender Action Lab (GAL): Innovation and Impact for Gender Equality in Asia-Pacific, powered by the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs), supported by the Government of Australia Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

The awards brought together some of the most prolific leaders working behind the scenes to move the needle on gender equality. From the workplace to the marketplace and into the communities where these corporations operate. Since inception in 2019 more than 10,000 companies have committed as WEPS signatories, including Sinclair London and together we aim to build a more sustainable future for all.
