Armistice Day - An agreement to end the fighting of the First World War
Armistice Day will take place on the 11th November 2023 and will continue onto the Sunday. On Sunday a major commemoration events will take place at the the Cenotaph in London. For those who may not know the Cenotaph is a monument that is used to commentate those who have passed in war. Tributes all over the UK will be taking place to mark this important weekend.
Armistice Day, is a day to remember those who fought for the country in the First World War many men and women from various backgrounds came together and fought bravely for Britain. The Armistice came about as a truce to end the fighting in the First World War as agreement for peace was made.
Armistice day is particularly significant for Sinclair London, as our EA & development executive Becky Smith served in the Royal House Artillery. Her family have strong ties to the military and will be taking part at this years gathering.
