Travel Bag Essentials
In the hopes of returning to travel this summer, here are five things every
woman should carry in her travel bag.
As the boarders start to open up again, we are confident everyone is already planning their next vacation. As it has been a while since the last time anyone has boarded a plane or, perhaps, had a roadtrip, we want to reccomend 5 essentials to bring with you on your holiday.
-
Sunscreen
If there is one thing not to forget when going away, that is sunscreen. Unprotected sun exposure is the main cause of ageing, wrinkles, dark spots and possible melanomas.
In order to keep your skin looking young and fresh, we reccomend using Spf 50, even if your not planning to go on a tropical holiday. Make sure to always wear sunscreen under your makeup and remember to reapply it throughout the day. Sunscreen really is a woman best friend!
Here are our recommendations:
Murad City Skin Age Defence SPF50
Sisley Super Soin Solaire Teinté SPF30
-
Mask
This might sound like an obvious one, but having multiple masks in your bag is a real must have during a pandemic. We suggest having a few options: some nice fabric masks that you can change depending on your outfits (think some neutral colours and fun patterns), and then some surgical masks to wear when you travel or when in you find yourself in a crowded space.
Here are our recommendations:
Borgo de Noir Floral print cotton face mask
Emilio Pucci Dinamica-print silk mask
-
Hydratingthermal water spray
The combination of wearing a mask and travelling again after a while, can stress your skin out and cause some irritation or breakouts. A thermal water spray can be a lifesaver. Airplanes are notoriously drying for your skin and the change of climate from where you live to your destination can also cause your skin to act up. Spray the thermal water everytime you feel like your skin is looking doll or dehydrated.
Here are our recommendations:
Caudalie Supersize Grape Water
Aesop Immediate Moisture Facial Hydrosol
-
Cashmere scarf
The last thing we want while travelling, especially now, is to get sick. A big, warm and soft cashmere scarf can also function as a blanket or as a shawl when travelling. It can be the perfect extra layer on a colder night, it can transform into a luxury blanket on the plain and can also become a smart cover-up if the situation requires it. Choose a neutral colour such as beige or black, so you know it will work with everything you have packed in your suitcase.
Here are our recommendations:
Hohnstons of Elgin cashmere scarf
5.Travel wallet
Last but not least, having all your travel documents in one place will prevent you from forgetting them and will make the travel process less stressful.
Choose a nice and quite spacious leather document holder (you can personalize it with your initials) and fill it with your passport or ID, some cash for emergency, airplane or train tickets, information about your hotel or destination.
After being at home for so long, it is extra important to stay organized when travelling.
